About Us

Located in Prince George, BC, Northwest Wood Preservers is a supplier of chemically treated wood products. We feature both CCA and ACQ pressure treated products. We have a proven track record for consistent quality, on-time shipping (by rail and truck) and competitive pricing.

Northwest Wood Preservers began in 1978 as Prince George Wood Preservers, a small CCA treatment facility. In the 1980′s a sawmill and planer were added to the operation. The name changed to Northwest Wood Preservers in 2003 when the BID Group purchased the site. In 2004, the company expanded by adding ACQ treating.

Today, Northwest Wood Preservers operates a 24/7 plant on 26 acres in Prince George, B.C., with approximately 50 employees. Both CCA-PWF and ACQ-AWW treated products are shipped from this facility by railcar and truck. The plant boasts on-site kiln-drying, as well as planing, trimming, cut-in-two, and sorting capacity.

Northwest Wood Preservers supplies product primarily throughout Canada, and also to developing markets in Asia.
